Apply To Rent

Thanks for your interest in one of our properties. To make the process as easy as possible for you to get into your new home, please follow our directions below on how to apply to rent one of our properties.

NOTE: Our properties are rented on a first-come first-serve basis. After we receive a completed application and holding fee with all supporting materials we no longer show the property. CPM encourages people to submit a backup application on properties that have a current application and deposit. If we decline the application it will be available to rent again.

Basic requirements to rent from Compass Property Management

  • Applicants combined gross income is 3 times the monthly rent
  • Applicants have no prior evictions or outstanding balances with former landlords
  • Applicants have reasonable credit worthiness as demonstrated in their credit report
  • Our general policy is we accept small pets under 35 lbs. and older than 18 months in most of our properties with additional fees. In some cases this policy differs, so please inquire based on the property you are interested in. No vicious breeds.

Things to bring when submitting an application

  • A completed Rental Application for each adult that will be living in the unit. You can download our Rental Application and print it or you can pick up applications at our office.
  • $40 Application Fee for each applicant (individual over 18 living in residence). Please pay application fee with money order or cashier’s check. No cash. This fee covers our costs to pull your credit report and verify your application.
  • Copies of Drivers License(s) or valid state photo I/D. We will need a copy of each applicant's identification to verify signatures of applicants before requesting your credit history. We can make copies at our office if you bring each piece of identification.
  • Verification of income for all applicants. Either a recent paycheck stub or documentation indicating how much consistent income each applicant makes. Child support and similar funds are accepted.
  • Holding Fee in secured funds. No cash. Holding Fee must be either a money order or cashier’s check and must be separate from the screening fee. The Holding Fee is fully refundable if your rental application(s) are declined after our screening process.

Call before you drop off application(s). We are required to have a licensed agent in the office when you submit your application. Please call to confirm a licensed agent will be present.
